The Anchor Point Captain Cook Lodge is a fully equipped log vacation home with 6 beds and 2 full baths and 1620 sq. ft. of living area. Two of the beds are queen beds. Couples will enjoy this awesome log building and it is a favorite for larger families and other groups. The first floor has a full kitchen, a dining table that seats 8, family room with entertainment center, HD flat screen satellite TV, leather recliner furniture and computer desk with Wi-Fi, full bath with shower/tub, laundry room with large capacity washer and dryer, and a bedroom with a log queen-size bed.
A one-of-a-kind log stair leads to the large loft with four twin beds, a log queen-size bed plus a full shower/tub bath. The front of the building has a large open porch with a gas BBQ and table and chairs. There are lots of special features in this building including extensive hand carvings and articles recognizing explorer Captain James Cook who anchored off the beach here in May 1778. Cook named this location “Anchor Point” after his ship the HMS Resolution lost a large anchor here on May 28, 1778.
The property includes a circle drive that guests can access from either the Sterling Highway or Camai Road (drive through), and a wooded lot with mountain and forest view.
