Description

This 2 story houseboat is beautiful! It’s located in the heart of West Monroe, in a hidden location. There will be kayaks, a paddle boat, fishing poles, a grill, and outdoor furniture for your pleasure. It is packed with all the amenities and comforts of home. The Ouachita River awaits you!

You may even bring your boat and park it right beside it. It is located directly across from the Forsythe Levee.

The space

1 upper-level deck and a wrap-around exterior with covered front and back porches make the exterior! A large living room, dining bar, full kitchen, and half bath make the top interior level and a pass-through room with bunk beds, a private bedroom, and a shower makes the bottom interior level. It has 1 full bed, 1 set of bunk beds (cot sized), 1 queen air mattress, 2 1/2 baths, and a full kitchen in the 1,440 sq ft. central heated and cooled interior.

Guest access

Full access to everything except the top-level deck for safety reasons. You are allowed to explore the property from the bus to the barn and down to the river.

Other things to note

Parking is available for up to 2 regular-sized vehicles. Contact me with any questions before booking.

During the months the water is low, you will have 2 sets of stairs to walk down. You, your kids, and/or your pets must be able to make the walk. Also, consider the amount of luggage you will have. It’s about 50 steps.

There is no wifi available due to the levee and OSCHA requirements. Cell service is great for hotspots, however!

We’re happy to offer concierge services and prestock the fridge with a list that meets your needs! All must be arranged at least 2 days before your reservation.

A houseboat home away from home! I stayed for two nights with my husband and we had a great time. The space is very special, cozy and well-equipped with a comfortable couch, local tourist info, the cutest bar and a lot of charm. The bed was soft and comfortable, we had plenty of towels, places to put our clothes away, outlets for phone charging etc. The living room is big enough to hang out in and we cooked two or three meals in the small kitchen. The weather was rainy so we didn’t enjoy the outdoor level as much as one could, but I can imagine it would be beautiful. Lacey clearly cares about her guests? Her business and small details, like clean rolled towels and soft sheets. The lodging is a bit like a camper or cabin in that you don’t have all of the kitchen tools and amenities of a more luxury apartment, but if you want a truly unique, quiet place to relax, this is a terrific option. And yes, you’ll need to be able to climb a couple sets of metal stairs.

Was a great place to stay. We were looking for a quick getaway for my wife and I, and came across this house boat. Never would have thought to specifically look for one, but absolutely loved it! Boat didn't rock much at all even with a windy evening. Would definitely recommend and have already booked our next trip! BTW... in the morning, fish we jumping like crazy!

Had a nice time on the river. We were able to see some fireworks. Be prepared to walk up and down metal stairs/concrete decking and be able to carry things to and from the boat. Lacey and her family were so nice and attentive. It was nice to be able to have our fur babies with us and not be charged an arm and a leg to have them with us. We travel often and take our dogs with us and it was a nice change.

5.0 "A cozy little heaven on the water"

If you're looking for a cozy little heaven on the water...This is your spot! Make sure you have good balance as getting down to the boat is a little tricky in the dark. The inside was SO cute! The quarters are small, but oh so comfortable. There were even candles for us to light ; )! We woke up early in the morning and had coffee (provided by the host) on the deck. The sunrise was exquisite and the water was so peaceful. We slept in the back downstairs bedroom. I was surprised that the mattress was so comfortable. I didn't want to get out of it. Be careful using the restroom at night as the stairs leading back to the main living area where the toilet room is are steep, but that's normal for a houseboat. I enjoyed a nice hot shower in the morning too. All in all, this spot is somewhere I will certainly visit again. I stayed in Lacey's Bruiser Bus a few weeks back and loved it so much I had to try her houseboat out. I was overjoyed that it was just as comfortable as my stay in the Bruiser Bus. Thank you to Lacey for being such a wonderful host! You know I'll be back at some point as this has become my little at home vacation spot.

We spent a fantastic week at Lacey and Tony’s. We absolutely loved the boat. It was relaxing and secluded, while also being a short drive to everywhere we wanted to go in West Monroe and Monroe. Lacey and Tony were so friendly and accommodating before and during our trip, quick to respond and nearby if we needed anything. Our pup, Ronnie, loved playing with Lacey’s pup too. Lacey was very deceiving in the pictures and description of the stairs leading down to the boat. And once I cancelled the stay, instead of being a decent person and giving us a refund, she went and added pictures to the listing so Airbnb would think she was upfront about the stair situation from the beginning - which she WAS NOT!!! And, to add insult to that, it was my birthday weekend and my husband and I were really excited, so cancelling was NOT what we wanted to do. There was SIMPLY NO WAY to get our suitcase and cooler down to the boat. So we are now out all the money from the boat AND we had to get another hotel and be out that money too.

Head banging amazing time! A knee splitter if you will. Location was exceptional. Close to everything. Super clean as well. Lacy and her husband are the best hosts I’ve ever met at an Airbnb location. Hard working amazing couple. I think when we do stay there again we will only be coming to visit them and catch up!! One of our best trip yet this year they were friendly, made us feel comfortable and joined in on the fun of teaching my husband how to fish.
